Just to stop all the speculation and quiet the rumors...

LotFP is not the company that snagged the Star Wars license.

  3. uh, guys, if I was doing Star Wars, I wouldn't crap it all up with gore. That's not Star Wars. :P

However, I did get those Dark Horse collections after Maliszewski talked about them a little while back. I had some of those comics way back when, so it was an interesting trip through time.

Doing Star Wars based on the COMICS and nothing else would be the way I'd twist everyone's titties if I did have the Star Wars license.

  4. Yeah, I was going to say, considering your taste for "metal" settings, it would have to be falling Republic, just before the movies, with the PCs duking it out Robin Hood style versus the corrupt and decadent nobles trying to cement their rule in the provinces.

  6. Nice! I could see an alternate version of the Fate Witches with much more sexy appeal coming from LoTFP

Me too. It took the OSR blogs talking about them for me to realise that weird early stuff like the first film, the comics and Splinter of the Mind's Eye are what I like about the franchise.

  11. And like in the prequel, the Force would be a virus. Other symptoms of the virus would be cloven hooves and madness.

  12. I think you could combine Jabba the Hutt and the Sarlacc Pit into a single character. Their crime organisation would be more cult-like, and Jabba would be believed to be a sorcerer or even a god. Bib Fortuna would be the high priest, and maybe the real ruler.

  13. Darn it. I was hoping you had scored the Star Wars license and were going to run with my idea to base the game on Star Wars Slash fiction.
